Genuine vs fake at a glance

Act quickly and in this order. Speed matters more than certainty — if you are unsure, treat it as fake.

1. Uninstall it. If Android will not let you, check Settings → Security → Device admin apps and remove its admin rights first.
2. Change your account password from a clean copy of the app installed through a checked link, and sign out of other sessions if the option exists.
3. Call your bank if you entered a UPI PIN, card number or net-banking login anywhere in the fake app, and ask them to block or monitor the account.
4. Report it. India's national cyber-crime helpline is 1930, and complaints can be filed at cybercrime.gov.in.
